Situated in the heart of the Northern Cape, our exclusive outfitting operation offers access to some of the finest game bird and waterfowl hunting grounds, alongside premier fly-fishing waters teeming with smallmouth and largemouth yellowfish. WINGSHOOTING
Embark on a thrilling wingshooting expedition in the Northern Cape, through a landscape as diverse as it is captivating. There is a vast stretch of the Orange River winding through the area, which is scattered with islands, and adorned with dense river vegetation. Alongside lies the rugged beauty of indigenous Karoo veld, with multiple inland ponds and nearby irrigation fields, with an abundance of game birds and waterfowl. Nestled amidst this surrounding oasis of nature lies our outfitting operation, a bird haven for avid wing shooters who are seeking paradise.
HUNTING METHODS
We tailor our wing shooting methods to the unique characteristics of each area and the birds that occupy them. Popular species to target include Egyptian geese, Spur-wings and Guinea fowl. The ideal way to hunt waterfowl is by ambushing them early morning or at last light on their daily flight paths. The use of decoys and blinds help to get waterfowl close to hunters during daytime and close to their feeding areas. Driven or walked-up hunts are among other methods used to target game birds, and we ensure every strategy is a gateway to unforgettable encounters.
DOGS
We have bird dogs that assist with the hunts, and we also appreciate the passion you have for your hunting companion, welcoming properly trained hunting dogs to join on all hunts. We do however require that guest dogs do not endanger the game found on the private properties on which we hunt and that their own sleeping amenities are supplied.

Whether you prefer the thrill of dry fly-fishing, the anticipation that comes with casting streamers, or the finesse of euro-nymphing, Fins & Fowl Outfitters offers a fly-fishing opportunity for anglers of all skill levels. Embark on a guided expedition as our experienced guides lead you to exclusive and prime fishing spots and share their wealth of knowledge, with exceptional river and boat skills to ensure that guests get the best opportunity to target both species of yellowfish.
FLY-FISHING

Lodging is in private standalone riverfront rooms, each with their own private deck, overlooking the Orange River. All rooms are complete with modern amenities such as air-con/heaters, mini fridges, and en-suite bathrooms. A select few even have their own outdoor wood-fired hot tub.
All rooms are a short walk from our swimming pool and river deck, adjoined by an outdoor communal fire pit and lapa area with an open view onto the river.
Our kitchen delivers gourmet cuisine of the highest standard, which can be enjoyed on our main deck while taking in the majestic views of the mighty Orange River. We have a fully stocked bar and a wine cellar with a variety of South Arica’s finest wines. Enjoy the comfort of our indoor lounge with multiple fire places while you unwind from the days activities.
With game on its doorstep and rocky hills in the background, the luxurious accommodation setting is nothing short of spectacular.
